I love you.
It's New Year's Eve and I love you.
The first fireworks bring
these three words to my mind,
and your smile, your indecipherable smile.
I take my hopes, and dreams,
my laughter, my tears,
and my happiness, too.
I put them together and
I fold them in the silky,
scarlet foil of my pride,
and I leave them in your warm,
safe hands.
One minute.
One second.
One millisecond.
Poof! you're gone,
it's done.
